ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT :
Considering the rapid computerization in every aspect of life, Government of Odisha opened the department of Computer Science & Engineering in the year 1991 at BOSE, Cuttack under the World Bank assisted project for technical education. The the intake capacity was 20 per batch and usually top students basing on their HSC merit were taking admission in the department. Most of our alumni are well placed in various companies in various parts of the globe. Some of them have done their higher studies under lateral entry after which they get better opportunity in MNC companies. Some of our Role model alumni are given below.

VISION :
The Department shall ensure excellence in delivery & imparting knowledge in the latest technology in the field of Computer Engineering & Information Technology. It is committed to comply with the needs of the customer and shall continually improve the effectiveness of quality management system to the best satisfaction of the customer reviewing and updating the quality objective.

1. Updation of the curricular and extracurricular activities which keep pace with the changing technology and market need.
2. Imparting suitable training to the existing staff and engage subject experts from various fields to teach theory and practical subjects.
3. Keep Industry-Institution -Interaction proactive to asses and review the quality objective, which is dependent on the need of the market.
4. Conduct weekly / monthly tests among the students to ensure that they are proceeding towards their goal of quality learning.
5. Continuously improving the infrastructure of the Institute to match the best in the class.
6. Guiding students in innovative project in both hardware as well as software field.
